 "Zephyros"

On 9 May 2000 the new record of the violinist Nikos Hatzopoulos entitled "Zephyros" was presented at the Hellenic Cosmos. The record is the second part of a trilogy dedicated to Mikis Theodorakis and includes music by the composer written exclusively for films, like "Serpico", "Z" and "Faidra", but also well known songs like the "dead brother's".

Many people from the artistic world attended the event, as well as many reporters. People who stood out were composers Mikis Theodorakis and Demis Roussos, the actress Dimitra Hatoupi, and Margarita Theodoraki. Mr. S. Sofronis, manager of "FM Records" spoke first and presented the record, and then followed the 25-membered choir of Dimitris Typaldos, which performed two pieces from the record. Then followed the "live part" of the event, in which Nikos Hatzopoulos, accompanied with Giannis Ioannou on piano, performed exceptionally excerpts from the record, bringing delight to the attendants.
Then, with a violin playing in the background, the actress Dimitra Hatoupi recited poems by George Seferis. The harmonious combination of her voice with the music created a special atmosphere, and the audience was moved.
