The city of Miletus on the western coast of Asia Minor, one of the most important cities in Ionia, comes to life again in the Virtual Reality production "A Walk Through Ancient Miletus". This production, in the special environment of immersion of "Tholos", uses some new technical characteristics, which allow the development of multiple directions of digital life in the virtual space and not a predetermined course.

This programme provides a complete tour to the sacred site of ancient Olympia in the 2nd century BC. Monuments and sacred buildings come to life, enabling visitors to participate in the events and the rituals of the Olympic Games and to learn about the history of the city.

The spectators visit the site of the Ancient Agora and, under the guidance of a special Museum Educator, they have the opportunity to choose themselves the course they will follow. The representation of the Agora in three different moments in history provides visitors with the opportunity to perceive the development through time and the changes in the site's function from era to era, as it is recorded in its architectural and city-planning differentiations.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
Sunday Educational Programmes
Every Sunday morning Hellenic Cosmos hosts educational programmes for children 5 to 12 years old, which are designed and implemented by FHW's special museum educators.

Taking as their starting point the ancient Greek world, mythology, art, fairy tales and many other issues these programmes aim at promoting communication and creativity in an entertaining way. Nature and contemporary everyday life are the inspiration for yet another cycle of educational programmes which wish to increase the public's awareness of issues, such as the weather, time, being different, recycling.

Through discussions, games and various constructions, as well as audiovisual stimuli, and most of all, through the children’s active participation, the programmes activate their imagination and creativity.
