 "Tastes of the Temperate Zone - Mediterranean sweets and tastes"

"Tastes of the Temperate Zone - Mediterranean sweets and tastes" is the title of the book of the creator of "Fresh", Mr. Stelios Parliaros, which was presented at the Cultural Centre Hellenic Cosmos on 27 March 2000. The book, which includes confectionery secrets, sweets with fruits, milk and yogurt and other delicacies, was presented by Mrs. Athina Shina, art critic and historian, who has also written the introduction of the book, and Mr. Elias Mamalakis.

During the presentation of the book in the main hall of the Hellenic Cosmos, which was decorated in a rather original way (with citrus trees, impressive sweets from "Fresh" and posters), the guests had the opportunity to enjoy many surprises, gastronomic and other: they tasted old, favourite Greek and Mediterranean sweets enriched with natural ingredients, fruits and flavourings of the temperate zone, creations of Mr. Parliaros. They also watched, in the Cyber Hall, in a confectionery workshop that was constructed for the event, the way that some of the sweets that are included in the book are made.
