 Stories of coins - Narrations of cities

A hundred and sixty coins from the Private Collection of the Foundation of the Hellenic World, the fourth largest collection from Asia Minor in the world. A journey through space and time, from Thrace to Mesopotamia and from the 6th century BC to the 3rd century AD.

 Magic and Byzantium

Photographs, drawings of objects and texts of Byzantine scholars were the material of the exhibition "Magic and Byzantium", which attempted to approach the phenomenon of magic through the eyes of the Byzantines. The exhibition was organized in the framework of the celebration of the European Heritage Days (24 to 26 of September 2010), which this year is entitled "Wizards, spells and amulets: Magic in the ancient and Christian world".

 The bracelet: Neo-Hellenic and Ethnic (19th-20th century)

More than two hundred bracelets –modern Greek and from other countries– were presented at the Foundation¢s exhibition "The Bracelet: Neo-Hellenic and Ethnic 19th-20th century". This collection is the result of many years of effort by the Professor at the University of Athens, Ms Katerina Korre-Zografou. The exhibition focused not only on the jewel's aesthetical value but also on the historical and social dimension.

 Meeting at the Ancient Agora

The exhibition of the Foundation of the Hellenic World invited visitors to contemplate the issues of freedom, justice, education, isonomy, freedom of speech, sociability and contribution to the common life of the state and to consider their importance to modern societies.

 Theatre, the art of arts

An exhibition about the art of theatre and the people involve, but also the "arts" that meet on the stage to create a performance.

 Treasures through a piggy bank

The history of coins, savings and of the Greek Postal Savings Bank through simple texts and photographs, which provides information about the economic history of Greece. The exhibition was hosted at Hellenic Cosmos in 2005-2007.

 Crusades: Myth and Reality

Precious exhibits from 21 museums, archaeological ephorates and private collections from Greece, Cyprus, Italy and Malta are collected for the first time in such an important historical and archaeological exhibition to narrate, with the contribution of the multimedia technology, the history of the Crusades and the interactions they created in Europe and the Mediterranean. The Exhibition was hosted at Hellenic Cosmos from February 22nd to June 5th 2005.

 Tales of the Olympic Games. A unique exhibition

The modern Olympic Games are seen under a new perspective: their relation to society, economy and culture of their era, in an exhibition through original exhibits and the creative use of new technologies. The exhibition lasted from February 2004 to December 2006.

 Is There An Answer To Everything? A journey to the world of Greek mathematics

An examination of Greek mathematics from Thales and Pythagoras to Archimedes and Eratosthenes, but also the Byzantine and Arab scholars that brought this knowledge to Europe during the Renaissance.

 Krossia, Chitones, Doulamades, Velades - 4000 Years of Hellenic Costume

The diachronic development of Hellenic costume in an exhibition that was created in collaboration with the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation from September 1999 to February 2003.

 National Events and Historical Memory

A different "reading" of historical issues based on the conception that the historical past is not something distant and indifferent, but it is alive within our everyday lives and it shapes our present. The exhibition lasted from March 1998 to September 2001.
