The Sklavokampos Villa, the ruins of which were completely destroyed in
World War II, was situated at the foot of a rocky hill a small distance from Tylissos.
About half of the building of the Late Minoan I period was used as a storage place and the other
half was inhabited. These two parts had separate entrances. In the middle was a central court
with four columns, similar to those of Mallia and Palaikastro.
There were three rooms that communicated with one another on the northwest side. One of them
was a storeroom. In the area under the staircase was a toilet with a culvert toward the
outside wall. A wide covered veranda facing north looked onto the plain. |
