The book is a complete and documented presentation of the activities of the dance groups "Experimental Ballet of Athens". The group was founded in 1965 by Giannis Metsis and until 1990 presented works from the international classical repertoire and new works of contemporary Greek composers.

Dancers, choreographers, students and collaborators, through texts and interviews enlighten the personality and the work of Giannis Metsis. In this way they pay their respects to this great artist and teacher, who introduced to Greece the neoclassical ballet and trained the modern generation of dancers. The publication also includes an analytical presentation of the performances by the Experimental Ballet as well as excellent photographic material from the performances.

The Book is on sale at the Museum Shop, in the Cultural Centre of FHW, as well as at major bookstores in Greece. For further information contact the Museum Shop of the Cultural Centre, tel.: +(30) 212 254 0000 or write at sales@ime.gr.
