After the Catastrophe. Asia Minor refugees in Greece in the Interwar Period


The book “After the Catastrophe. Asia Minor refugees in Greece in the Interwar Period”, is a collective publication by FHW, which presents the course of the refugees from Asia Minor to Greece in the period between the two World Wars and their incorporation into Greek society. It analyzes the measures taken by the Greek state for the relief of the refugees, it examines their social and political presence and activity and it presents the ways through which the refugees cultivated their own, special sense of identity and historical memory. In the end there is a chapter dealing with the international dimensions of the issue of the refugees in the 20th century. The book was published under the auspices of the Hellenic Parliament.
