History consists of a multitude of small histories, a part of which belongs to each one of us. FHW, aided by you, highlights your history, the important moments you have lived and preserved in a photograph or a text, elements that reveal the experienced side of history.
Genealogical trees are complemented with photographs, family documents and heirlooms that the FHW digitalises and keeps in a digital and physical archive, so that it is able to "illustrate" the life and memory of common people who experienced the history of the last decades.
Along with photographs, we also collect autobiographies, short and long testimonies in text form, short human stories, valuable for the history of Greek refugees and the history of Hellenism during the last decades.
