On July 27th 1998, the Minister of Education Gerasimos Arsenis welcomed at the Cultural Centre of FHW Hellenic Cosmos 115 scholar pupils and students from Europe who visited our country to attend the "Programme of Greek Language, History and Culture" at the University of Macedonia. The programme, -duration from the 20th of July till the 20th of August- was one of the efforts on the part of the Ministry of Education to spread and preserve the Greek Language and the Culture at the centres that kept them alive for centuries.

At the end of the meeting a tour took place at the educational exhibition of FHW National Events and Historical Memory. Closing his speech, addressing to the scholars, Mr Arsenis said: "I would like to thank the President of FHW Lazaros Efraimoglou, who within a brief time managed to give life to his vision, something extremely difficult to be realized effectively by the state".

The event was widely mentioned by the daily athenian press.
